FSU head coach Willie Taggart finally takes over a team with more talent than he can shake a stick at.

A lot of pundits and rival fans like to point out FSU hired Willie Taggart who has an overall head coaching record of 47-50.

What they don’t like to point out is this FSU football team is the most talented team he’s ever coached by far.

Taggart has been doing a lot of interviews of late, answering questions about the team and how things are going in the first few months on the job.

His message is consistent in the players needed to start playing for one another and being selfish. He’s also preaching accountability among the team, but it seems Taggart is surprised by just how much talent is on the team.

He spoke with Jim Rome in the video below about what needs to happen for success at FSU:

Thoughts

Did you hear what I heard? Taggart believes if the team buys in to playing for one another and holding one another accountable, they have the talent to turn things around quickly from a year ago.

There’s no denying that as FSU still arguably has the most talented team in the ACC despite losing nine players that were invited to the NFL Combine.

They will have two experienced quarterbacks and the most talented stable of running backs in the ACC. The offensive line will have a couple of things to figure out and the wide receiver depth is a bit shallow though.

However, the FSU defense will field a very good defensive line and excellent secondary with the questions on defense coming at linebacker.

All the things we are seeing on social media indicate this team is closer now that it’s been in a long time under the old regime.
