Jacob Pugh

"DRAFT PROJECTION Round: Priority Free Agent (PFA)"

"BOTTOM LINE Pugh is a long, strong-side linebacker for 4-3 defenses with below average strength but solid pursuit speed. Pugh needs a strong lead-up to the draft because his tape is uneven and his career production has been unimpressive. There are some traits to work with, but finding the right positional fit may be a challenge."

Thoughts

I’m surprised Jacob Pugh was invited to the NFL Combine because he was never a player that seemed to stand out in Charles Kelly’s defense.

Some of that was his durability and teams will likely dock him for that. He never played more than 11 games in a season with his junior year being the most productive with 43 total tackles and 4.5 sacks.

It could be best for Pugh to get signed as a free agent opposed to drafted in the final rounds as he can control where which team he’d like to play for at that point.
