FSU Football ranked among most hated programs by website

FSU football may have had a down year – but the hate is still strong toward the Seminoles entering the 2018 season, says one website.
For years now, we as FSU football fans have had to get used to the idea of being hated by fan bases and programs that – well, quite frankly they were just jealous of us. From championships and awards to great players to a beautiful stadium and gorgeous coeds, the Seminoles have it all and there are some out there who just can’t handle it.
During the 2017 season, plenty of those people who had a case of the “You Mads” were enjoying the fact the Seminoles were 3-6 at one point before winning the final four games of the season to extend a winning season streak to 41 and a bowl season streak to 35 – far and away to longest active streaks in college football.
With that, and the anticipation of what the 2018 season has in store and the new era of FSU football under head coach Willie Taggart, the Seminoles are still feeling the venom of hate from those not in garnet and gold. College Spun recently ranked the top 10 most hated programs entering the upcoming season and the Noles came in at No. 5.
"It’ll be interesting to see what Florida State’s program is like under Willie Taggart. Under Jimbo Fisher, they were crazy hated, mostly because of the fan base. #FSUTwitter hasn’t been as much of a thing lately – there haven’t been any big controversies – but it’s always there, lurking."
Really, people? We’re still attacking the Seminoles because of a social media hashtag and diehard fans that are the same with every program? That’s the best you got for why we are the fifth most hated program in the country? If that’s the case, we’re doing something right in Tallahassee.

For the record, the group of Alabama, Notre Dame, Ohio State and Michigan were the top four teams – meaning three of the last four programs to win a national title (dating back to the 2011 season) are on the list. Translation: FSU football isn’t going anywhere and if you want to keep hating, do your thing while we keep winning.
