FSU football will have plenty of stars on the field during the 2018 season, but the Worldwide Leader likes one in particular to have a breakout year.
When the FSU football teams takes the field for the 2018 season opener on September 3rd against Virginia Tech, the Seminoles are going to have plenty of talented players for first year head coach Willie Taggart to work with – which is why fans have a lot of confidence heading into the season.
On offense, the Noles are in a welcomed position since they have a choice of either Deondre Francois or James Blackman under center to go with a backfield that includes Cam Akers, a running back who just rank for over 1,000 yards last season and could end up being the best back in FSU football history when it’s all said and done.
On defense, the Seminoles have several stars returning but will also be looking to replace their three top tacklers from last season, which includes defensive end Josh Sweat. According to ESPN, his potential replacement could be one of the biggest breakout stars next season.
During a list of the players they think will be the biggest breakout stars of the upcoming season, Florida State freshman defensive end Joshua Kaindoh was listed as one of the 20 players they see as those who will become household names for 2018:
"The Seminoles’ next defensive coordinator inherits a ton of young talent, and Kaindoh is primed for big things. He had 6.5 tackles for loss, including four sacks and a team-high six quarterback hurries, to go along with a forced fumble."
Kaindoh was one of the biggest names the Seminoles signed during the 2017 class, a five star recruit from IMG Academy who was ranked as the number two player in the state of Florida and finally got some serious run toward the end of the season.

While it’s not known yet who will be running the Seminoles’ defense next season, one thing is for certain – a combination of Kaindoh on the right side and rising junior Brian Burns on the left end side will make the FSU football defense very scary for opponents in 2018.
