The Press Conference

If you haven’t watched that press conference I would encourage you to do so. He paid nothing but respect to Oregon, their players and administration.

In fact, Taggart admitted he knows he let down Oregon and their players by taking the FSU job. However, again, it comes down to  the timing of how the FSU job became open which he had no control.

What’s better than going back home to one of the premier jobs in all of college football. A chance to realistically compete for national championships each year in arguably the best conference in the country.

Taggart would have a chance to be closer to his mother who’s now widowed since Taggart’s father recently passed away.

My baseball coach used to get on me in college sometimes because I’d sacrifice parts of my game trying to be a team player. However, sometimes being selfish is the right thing to do. It’s not often, but I do believe that’s the case for Willie Taggart.

Jimbo Fisher wouldn’t have caught half the flack if he would have been half as honest as Willie Taggart.

If you can’t understand he was in a difficult situation, and had to do what he felt was right for him with the support of his family? I don’t know what to tell you.
