Virginia Tech

The first game of the season will see FSU football host Virginia Tech on September 3rd. The No. 22 Hokies finished the 2017 regular season (9-3, 5-3 ACC) and will face the No. 17 Oklahoma State Cowboys in the Camping World Bowl.

This game is listed at No. 2 because it will help set the tone for the Willie Taggart era. It’ll be the ‘Noles taking on a good Virginia Tech team led by Justin Fuentes who’ll be in his third season at the helm.

The Hokies will be losing eight seniors out of their starting lineup, and a couple of juniors could declare early for the NFL Draft.

They will return redshirt sophomore quarterback Josh Jackson who had a redshirt freshman season similar to Deondre Francois in 2016.

It’s a game I expect the ‘Noles to be favored to win, and a win would set the ‘Noles up nicely heading into game three against another likely ACC foe in game three.
