FSU Alum: Fans react to Chris Thompson and Kelvin Benjamin injuries
By Kelvin Hunt
Former FSU players Chris Thompson and Kelvin Benjamin were injured a few moments apart from one another Sunday.
Former FSU football players have been tearing up the NFL as of late, but the injury bug took two of them down in a matter of minutes Sunday afternoon.
Chris Thompson and Kelvin Benjamin both suffered what look like major injuries to their legs. Thompson’s injury is confirmed as a broken fibula, a tough break for a guy that broke his back while playing at FSU.
Benjamin’s injury is still uncertain at the time of this writing, but it didn’t look good as he left the field. He missed all of the 2015 season with the Carolina Panthers after suffering a ACL injury in preseason practices.
The other part that sucks for Benjamin is the Panthers had the best season in team history, and made it to the Super Bowl without him participating.
Fans and others poured out their support to both players on social media Sunday afternoon.

Thoughts
It certainly sucks to see both players go down with injuries like this after both having to overcome major injuries recently just to get back on the field.
Thompson signed a two-year contract extension in September which couldn’t have come at a better time.
Benjamin was traded to the Buffalo Bills from the Carolina Panthers a couple of weeks ago and his contract will expire after the 2018 season.
That injury probably couldn’t have come at a worse time for him as he’ll likely spend all off-season trying to make it back before mini-camps begin.

Here’s hoping both have a speedy recovery from the injuries and are able to get back on the field next season.
