College Football Betting: Chop Chat's top 5 bets of week 10

The college football season is now in full swing, so let’s take a stab at trying to make some money.

We’re back with another addition of Chop Chat’s best college football bets. We had a off week nine and finished in the red with a record of 1-3-1.

This now puts our overall record at 19-17-4 after nine weeks.

FSU -3 (buy hook) vs. Boston College-Boston College is being overvalued here with wins over Louisville and Virginia the past two weeks. A lot of that was based on forcing turnovers which isn’t sustainable. FSU should cover this. Loss, FSU quit in the second quarter…bad bet.
FSU vs. Boston College UNDER 47-Boston College’s offense is limited unless they force turnovers and they rely on the run a lot. FSU will likely run the ball quite a bit too. Win, BC forced turnovers and ran all over FSU…luckily FSU quit.
Louisville -3 vs. Wake Forest-Wake Forest was gashed by GT last week and Lamar Jackson should get loose on them quite a bit. Loss, Louisville is more terrible than I thought.
Georgia Tech +14 vs. Clemson-Georgia Tech should be able to run the ball and put up enough points against a Clemson offense that isn’t as good as they were last season. Push, went about how we thought it would…probably should have bought a hook.
Michigan State -2.5 vs. Northwestern-Michigan State coming off a hard fought win last week should cover against Northwestern team that has some bad losses. Loss, game went to triple overtime and had opportunities to cover.

Virginia Tech -3 vs. Miami-Miami is a fraud team that’s lucky. Miami’s offense can be shut down against good defenses and Bud Foster will have VT ready. VT’s offense should be able to put up points against an undisciplined Miami front seven.
Florida +3 vs. Missouri-Florida may rally around the interim coach and has better athletes overall than Missouri. Florida to win straight up probably.
NC State +8 vs. Clemson-NC State got whipped by Notre Dame last week, but I think NC State matches up better against Clemson here. Plus, NC State playing at 3:30 at home should create a good atmosphere for the home team.
Notre Dame -13.5 (buy hook) vs. Wake Forest-Wake Forest beat a bad Louisville team last week and Notre Dame smoked NC State. Notre Dame should crush Wake Forest in the trenches and shut down their run game.
Iowa State +3 (buy hook) vs. West Virginia-Iowa State has won four straight which started with a win over Oklahoma and have since beaten Texas Tech and TCU. West Virginia has struggled the last four games going (2-2). Iowa State is playing much better football at the moment.
