FSU Football: Fans disgusted by performance against Wake Forest
By Kelvin Hunt
FSU football got its first win of the season with a comeback win against Wake Forest. However, FSU fans were disgusted by the performance.
FSU football took a 26-19 win over Wake Forest Saturday for its first win on the season. However, it was more of the same for ‘Noles fans.
The team came out on fire with Derwin James returning the opening kickoff for a touchdown, only for it to be called back by a penalty. It was downhill at that point with the ‘Noles gaining just 108 yards on offense in the first half.
They finished the game with 270 total yards on offense averaging 4.21 yards per play. Wake Forest averaged 5.31 yards per play in a losing effort.
FSU fans were livid with several things throughout the game. The coaches, offensive line, player effort and play calling were all consistent targets on social media.
Check out how FSU fans reacted on Twitter:
Thoughts
I have no words. This team needs to find itself in a hurry. I’m not saying the season is a total loss at this point because things will change drastically if FSU beats Miami next week.
However, right now this team is playing with no type of swagger. They are playing soft on offense and defense. This team got outhit by Wake Forest as the hit on Noonie Murray early in the game was easily the hardest of the day.
Jimbo did have some questionable playcalling because running stretch plays with Jacques Patrick makes NO sense whatsoever. Why is Jimbo punting on the Wake Forest side of the field on fourth and one late in the game?

Changes need to be made on this staff at the end of the season, and that’s even if by some miracle they won the rest of their games on the schedule.
