FSU football games played in South Florida are the only time Miami can fill the seats at their rented stadium – but Luther Campbell doesn’t realize that.
For most college football teams, including FSU football, it has become slightly harder to fill up the stands week after week for games. With the creation of all the social media and technology that allows people to watch their games from home, the Seminoles have to do more to get butts in the seats.
Having big games, like Clemson and Florida last year, are one way to get the numbers up. While the Seminoles have been able to keep their numbers up in past years thanks to quality teams and great games on the schedule, not every school has been so lucky – like one of FSU’s rivals, the Miami Hurricanes.
Year after year, TV viewers tune in to see games inside whatever they call the stadium each season (I think it’s still Hard Rock Stadium this year) and see plenty of good seats available to watch what used to be “The U” under achieve each season. The attendance numbers only go up each even numbers year – when FSU football comes to town and bails them out.
Still, that didn’t stop maybe the biggest super fan and loud mouth the program has – former 2 Live Crew singer turned washed up celebrity Luther Campbell – from taking a shot at Florida State over tickets prices on one online ticket transfer site:

Aww…that’s so cute, Uncle Luke. You found a site that shows people don’t want to go to FSU football games, right? Wait…one look at the site in that graphic was for the Delaware State game and not the game against Miami, where the lowest ticket price for the Miami game was $123 as of Tuesday at 5 p.m.
So, a look at the prices for Miami’s games against Toledo, Georgia Tech and Virginia. Hmmm…as of the same time, you can get tickets to those games for $6, $9 and $7 respectively – and there still won’t be 30,000 inside that trash stadium for any of those games. Stay in your lane, Luke…and get ready for an eighth straight loss to the Seminoles.
