FSU football fans are among some of the most passionate among major college teams – and now, the Worldwide Leader says they are among the happiest.

If you are a fan of FSU football, you have had a good time rooting on the Seminoles for much of this decade. A seven season run that has included three ACC crowns, a national championship, a Heisman winner and so much more has given those doing the tomahawk chop plenty to smile and brag about.

At the same time, there is a group of haters out there who love to take shots at this rocking garnet and gold (namely due to that whole #FSUTwitter thing from years ago) – but according to one major outlet, it’s all jealousy since those rooting for Florida State are among the happiest in college football.

ESPN ranked their “Fan Happiness Index” during an article this week – and FSU football is currently rocking the second happiest fans in college football according to their breakdown. Here’s what they graded on – Program Power from 2012-2016, Rivalry Dominance, Coaching Stability, Recruiting Trend (number of three, four and five stars living up to the hype), Revenue Growth and Twitter Buzz (positive vibes on social media).

For the Seminoles, the numbers don’t lie. Florida State got a 99 in program power, 86 in rivalry dominance (which likely means they are calling Clemson a rival along with Florida and Miami), a 98 in coaching stability (Jimbo isn’t going anywhere), along with a 77 in recruiting trend.

The two areas that hurt the Noles? Just a two in Revenue Growth – thank you, money lost on season tickets and the Champions Club – along with a 45 in Twitter Buzz, which comes from that whole #FSUTwitter thing and fans who have nothing positive to say even when Fisher was holding up the national championship trophy in 2013.

FSU football fans ranked just behind Ohio State at the top spot and ahead of their opening week opponent, Alabama. The ACC, just like in the polls, is well represented with Louisville fans coming in fourth and Clemson fans coming in ninth. In-state rival Miami was ranked 16th while fellow in-state rival Florida came in 38th.
