FSU football signed one of the top recruiting classes in 2017. We look at the top seven freshmen who could play meaningful minutes.

FSU football returns a lot of starters on both offense and defense for the 2017 season. They’ll miss Dalvin Cook, Roderick Johnson and Travis Rudolph on offense.

On defense they’ll miss DeMarcus Walker and Marquez White. Those players will be difficult to replace, especially Cook and Walker, but the ‘Noles have a ton of young talent waiting in the wings.

Coach Jimbo Fisher has always promoted healthy competition among his players, citing the best player will play regardless of seniority.

We’ve seen a handful of freshmen crack the starting lineup during the Fisher era at FSU football. There are players like Lamarcus Joyner, Jalen Ramsey, Derwin James, Devonta Freeman and Dalvin Cook just to name a few.

There are a number of true freshman on this 2017 squad that will likely this season. Let’s take a look (from least likely to likely) and get familiar how they can be impactful.
