FSU Football: Website Ranks Noles Among Programs With Brightest Futures
By Jason Parker
FSU football looks to be one of the more successful programs in college football this season – and one website thinks that won’t be changing any time soon.
It’s been well documented that FSU football is back among the top programs in the country. During the seven seasons Jimbo Fisher has been the head coach, the Seminoles have won at least 10 games six of those years to go along with four ACC Atlantic Division crowns, three Championship game wins and that magical 2013 national championship.
Coming off a 10-3 season in 2016 that ended with an impressive Orange Bowl win over Michigan where the Noles were big underdogs, many experts see Florida State getting back to winning the ACC and making it back to the College Football Playoff for the first time since 2014 – if not winning the whole thing.
While this could be the Seminoles’ best chance to bring home another national crown for a couple years, one website doesn’t see their recent success ending any time soon. The Spun ranked the top 10 college football programs with the ‘brightest futures’, namely due to the talent on the roster and what is being brought in during the recruiting process:
"Florida State has a top-10 class incoming for 2018 and the No. 1 ranked class for 2019 already. Combine that with head coach Jimbo Fisher and the Seminoles will be set for the foreseeable future. Not to mention, they’re expected to compete for the title this season. FSU will be around for a while."
FSU football currently has the seventh ranked recruiting class for the upcoming year by 247 Sports – a number that will surely go up over the course of the next few months as more and more players make their commitments. Still, with the potential losses of players like Derwin James, Taravrus McFadden and even Deondre Francois after this season as they are all draft eligible, the time is now to win a championship.

Florida State was joined on the list by several familiar faces – their 2017 opening game opponent, Alabama, along with in-state and ACC rival Miami and fellow conference rival Clemson. The ACC actually tied with the Big Ten for most teams on the list (three) while the SEC had two and both the Pac-12 and Big 12 each had one.
