FSU football missed on a huge recruiting target Friday when Teradja Mitchell chose Ohio State over the ‘Noles. We have the fan reaction to the news.

FSU football has won a lot of recruiting battles under Jimbo Fisher, but this is the second time he’s lost on a big-time recruit to Urban Meyer and Ohio State.

Teradja Mitchell was a four-star linebacker recruit that FSU had been on for a long time and was the early favorite.

All the signs pointed to FSU, he had visited several times, players from his state and high school are on team and FSU had his final visit before his commitment.

However, one visit to Ohio State changed all of that apparently as he gave his pledge to the Buckeyes Friday evening.

FSU fans were salty and Ohio State fans were jumping for joy on social media. Ah, the highs and lows of college football recruiting:

Thoughts

It sucks for FSU to put that much time and effort into a recruit and lose him on one visit. However, when dealing with teenagers one has to remember they don’t make decisions that make a lot of sense most of the time.

I’ll have more FSU football recruiting in today’s 1 p.m. post. See you then.
