FSU is hosting a big time recruit in four-star linebacker Teradja Mitchell for a visit this weekend. FSU fans showed love to the recruit on Twitter.

Recruiting is going well for FSU during the 2018 cycle as the ‘Noles set at No. 7 nationally with eight commitments.

They’re hoping this weekend visit with Teradja Mitchell will result in the ninth commitment to the class.

Mitchell is a composite four-star linebacker that hails from Bishop Sullivan Catholic High School in Virginia Beach, VA. That’s the same high school at 2017 running back Khalan Laborn.

Mitchell is rated as the No. 38 player overall in the nation and the No. 2 linebacker in the class and the No. 2 player in the state of Virginia.

FSU football has done excellent in the state of Virginia under Jimbo Fisher, pulling the No. 1 recruit out of that state the last three years (Josh Sweat, Levonta Taylor and Laborn).

The ‘Noles are battling Ohio State for Mitchell at the moment. FSU was an early favorite of his, but Ohio State has made up ground after he visited in April.

This FSU visit will be his last before he ultimately decides between the two schools shortly thereafter.

Thoughts

Always follow the visits when it comes to college football recruiting. Jimbo Fisher did a great job of getting Mitchell’s last visit, and getting him to  campus several times in the recruiting process.

Odell Haggins has a great relationship with Mitchell, and Mitchell’s going to players from his home state around him while on campus.

FSU football usually excels in these types of situations, so hopefully Mitchell will choose the good guys as he would be an excellent addition to the 2018 recruiting class.
