NFL Draft: DeMarcus Walker Selected In Second Round By Denver Broncos

FSU football had another Nole great to get taken in the second round of the NFL Draft on Friday night. DeMarcus Walker was selected by the Denver Broncos.

Dalvin Cook went to the Vikings with the No. 41 overall pick in the NFL Draft, and the Denver Broncos wasted no time in taking DeMarcus Walker with the No. 51 overall pick.

Denver GM John Elway gave some quick thoughts on Walker as he posted on Twitter:

Productive is an understatement as Walker left FSU football as the No. 3 all time sack list at FSU with 28.5. He also tied the record for second most sacks in a season with 16.

Walker was a consensus All-American in 2016 and the ACC Defensive Player of the Year.

Lots of love for a great player with tons of heart. Make no mistake, Walker believes he should have gone higher in the NFL Draft as well:

I think the Broncos are getting a helluva player that’s coming to Denver with a chip on his shoulder.
