FSU football plays Alabama in its 2017 opener. Alabama head coach Nick Saban gives high praise to Jimbo Fisher and the ‘Noles program.

Nick Saban’s Crimson Tide has their spring game Saturday as they continue to prepare for their opener against FSU football on September 2nd.

It appears Saban isn’t thrilled about what his team looks like post spring practice. That’s unusual from a guy who preaches the “process” 24/7, but it’s probably part of the process for him to call FSU football an elite team at this point.

FSU football head coach Jimbo Fisher is a Saban disciple. He means he knows FSU is preparing to be an elite team by September 2 in the opener.

Thoughts

There are stories about how Saban (a defensive minded coach) and Fisher (an offensive minded coach) would battle when the Fisher was Saban’s offensive coordinator.

Fisher’s offense has checks the quarterback can make based on what he sees in the defensive formation.

His offenses look unstoppable at times, provided the quarterback makes the right check and all the players execute their assignments.

The fact Saban thinks Jalen Hurts is a better passer now than last year is a good sign for FSU. If Alabama uses Hurt as a passer that’s to FSU’s advantage, so let him air it out on September 2nd Nick!
