FSU football has one of the best safeties in all of college football. Could he shutdown former All-Pro receiver Chad Johnson?

FSU football is known as “DBU” and currently projects to have one of the best, if not he best secondaries in all of college football.

Derwin James, arguably its best defensive back will return in 2017 after missing most of 2016 with a knee injury. He may have been out for an extended period of time but the alpha dog still has all the confidence in the world.

I’m not sure how it all got started, but James doesn’t back down from anyone…not even former All-Pro wide receiver Chad Johnson. Check this tweet and the response it got:

Fans React

Of course Chad Johnson is well past his prime as he turned 39 years old last month, and has been out of the NFL for nearly five years. However, the fan response between the two guys was interesting. Check it:

Thoughts

I’d have to agree with Derwin here. If he KNOWS what route Johnson is going to run that’s a huge advantage opposed to not knowing.

Plus, Johnson hasn’t played competitive football in ages.  To be correct, Derwin would only need to defend one pass out of 10. It’s apparent that both players respect one another though and it’s all love.
