FSU football coach Bobby Bowden is one of the greatest football coaches of all time. Yet, he was left off a recent Mt. Rushmore of CFB coaches.

FSU football hasn’t been around long at all compared to a lot of the historically great football programs of years past. In fact, FSU football is still in its infancy when you think about it.

Programs like Ohio State, Michigan, Alabama and others have been around for well over 100 years. FSU has only been around for around 70 years.

However, in that short time frame, FSU football has been ranked as one of the 10 best football programs in HISTORY by multiple outlets here, here and here.

The one coach responsible for laying the foundation for all of FSU’s success is the one and only Bobby Bowden.

If I were to ask you to name your Mt. Rushmore, you’d almost certainly think to have Bowden up there as a FSU football fan right?

Well, there are some that don’t believe that’s the case:

Bear Bryant and Nick Saban I absolutely believe should be up there. However, Frank Leahy and Joe Paterno? Come on fam.
