FSU football lost one of its prized 2016 recruits Monday night when Malik Henry announced he was transferring. We discuss the fan reaction to the news.

The news does not come as a total surprise as we called this three months ago in the related story above.

"Henry has a lot of obstacles to overcome if he wants to become the starting quarterback in the next year or two. By the end of this season, I have a feeling we’ll know one way or the other what he’s made of.He’ll either man up and put in the work, or transfer like he did in high school."

This is probably the best move for all parties involved as I’m not sure Henry would have been able to handle the hard coaching of Jimbo Fisher.

Plus, Deondre Francois earned a ton of credibility with his teammates this season with the toughness he displayed coupled with his performances.

It was unlikely Henry would have unseated him anytime soon. The fan reaction late Monday night was mixed somewhat. Some fans thought Henry was the future and some fans thought he was a cancer because of his maturity issues.

It’s likely Henry will go back to the west coast and enroll somewhere in hopes of getting his college football career on track.
