Former FSU football wide receiver Kelvin Benjamin’s return from an ACL injury hasn’t exactly gone as planned. What’s wrong with the Panthers’ wide receiver?

Panther’s wide receiver and former Nole star Kelvin Benjamin had an outstanding rookie season in 2014, and looked to be one of the better wide receivers in the NFL.

However, an injury in fall training camp forced Benjamin to set the 2015 entire year, and watch the Panthers go 15-1 before losing in the Super Bowl 50 against the Denver Broncos.

Enter 2016, expectations were through the roof as Benjamin was expected to be back and help an offense that was incredibly explosive with him on the sidelines.

It was only natural to think his return would boost it even more. However, that hasn’t been the case in 2016 even though Benjamin’s numbers are similar to his rookie season.

Benjamin was crucified for lack of effort Sunday. It’s a problem he had early in his career with FSU football.
