Conclusion

Listen, there are arguments to be made on both sides. Yes, Louisville beat the brakes off FSU at home in the third game of the season.

Everyone knows its better to lose earlier in the season than later in the season. Teams change as seasons progress, FSU got significantly better and Louisville lost its final two games.

The final game Louisville lost against Kentucky, they were 26 point betting favorites at HOME.

Louisville lost the game before that by 26 points on the road against Houston.

The Orange Bowl is in Florida and FSU will draw a larger crowd which is what matters to those in charge of the bowls. Also, historically, FSU is the ACC’s best in terms of drawing power on TV.

So blame whoever, but ultimately, it’s Louisville fault they are not playing in the Orange Bowl. All they had to do was beat Kentucky at home, and they couldn’t get it done as three touchdown favorites.
