FSU football has a lot of question marks at this point in the season. Here we take a look at the offensive line rankings through seven games.

There’s no question the offensive line has played poorly through the first seven games of the season. Some people try to give the offensive line a pass, but we don’t and we’ll provide some stats to back it up.

First of all, it’s a miracle that Dalvin Cook has already rushed for 900 yards on the season. However, it should be noted that his 5.7 yards per carry average is the lowest of his career.

In fact, he averaged a monster 7.4 yards per carry in 2015 and 5.9 as a true freshman in 2014.

Deondre Francois has been beaten to a pulp over seven games, and arguably should not have played in the Wake Forest game. It’s clear he was playing injured, not managing pain.

A small amount of the blame can be placed on Francois holding the ball too long, or a running back missing a blitz pickup. However, overall it’s the offensive line getting whipped over and over again.

The ‘Noles are No. 119 in the nation in sacks allowed with 21 in seven games.

For instance, the FSU offensive line got beat for a sack by Wake Forest rushing THREE late in the game on Saturday on a third a long.

That’s unacceptable.

Let’s take a look at some of the stats from Football Outsiders.
