No. 1 – Florida State 45 Miami 17 (2010)

After trading victories in the previous four meetings, FSU football was breaking in a new head coach in Jimbo Fisher and came into South Florida as the underdog to a Miami team who would be making a coaching change by the end of the season. One of the things that helped Randy Shannon get shown the door was a running showcase in this game by Chris Thompson and Jermaine Thomas, who single handedly had Miami fans heading to the exits midway through the third quarter. It was the first of what is currently a six game win streak over the ‘Canes – something Fisher doesn’t want to see end any time soon.
