Here’s a look at the five best FSU football players who hail from the city of Miami.

Fans of the Miami Hurricanes, for much of the last three decades, have loved to talk about what they think is the “State of Miami”. The notion that players from Miami-Dade, Broward and Palm Beach Counties are all going to attend school in Coral Gables has been prevalent in both good times and bad.

For the most part, most schools have been able to come into the area and only get a handful of players to leave South Florida. That is, with one big exception: the Florida State Seminoles.

Dating back to the early years of legendary former head coach Bobby Bowden, FSU football has been able to go into the tri-county area and take more than their share of top talent and get them to Tallahassee – with many being used to beat the ‘Canes.

While there is plenty of talent that has come from all three counties, we’re going to focus on Miami-Dade County, since the Seminoles will be there this weekend looking to make it seven in a row over their rivals – so here are the five best players to wear the garnet and gold that hail from the 305.
