FSU football star safety Derwin James injured his knee during a blowout win over Charleston Southern Saturday. FSU fans reacted on Twitter with lots of concern.
The way Derwin James got injured didn’t seem like much to the naked eye, but there was cause for concern when he noticeably limped off the field.
James got injured delivering a massive hit to a Charleston Southern player knocking him out-of-bounds.

James was eventually carted off the field and scheduled to have a MRI on the knee according to Coach Jimbo Fisher.
If James isn’t available to play next week, that would be a huge loss as FSU football will have a big game at Louisville next Saturday.
Louisville is a ACC divisional foe and has one of the hottest players in college football putting up crazy offensive numbers in quarterback Lamar Jackson.
It’s obvious FSU football fans realize not having James in the secondary is a cause for concern because they voiced their concern on Twitter during the game.

Derwin James has played his last snap today. Hopefully he isn't hurt but we need him for next week vs today #FSUvsCSU

It's awful seeing Derwin James get hurt. He's good enough that he could be playing in the NFL right now, but not draft eligible until 2018.

Thoughts
The latter is why James was still in the game even though it was a blowout at that point according to Coach Jimbo Fisher. The 57 yard touchdown pass the FSU football defense gave up was a result of a missed assignment by James.
It’ll be interesting to see what the results of the MRI are. It’s notable that James was injured during fall camp, and required minor surgery on his foot but came back really quick.
