LB. Florida State Seminoles. MATTHEW THOMAS. B. Matthew Thomas has overcome a lot of adversity, and it was great to see him in the starting lineup on Monday night. We predicted that he would lead the team and tackles and that’s exactly what he did if we’re only counting solo stops.
Thomas finished the game with seven tackles(all solo stops), and a tackle for a loss. That tackle for a loss was a huge play where he snuffed out a screen play and crushed the receiver as soon as he caught the ball.

He did have a few lapses in coverage and had trouble shedding blocks a few times, but overall a solid effort in what is a rebirth for his career.
