Josh Brown

Josh Brown came to FSU football as a consensus four-star linebacker recruit and the No. 9 linebacker in the nation.

The FSU defense usually runs Nickel which only features two linebackers most of the time. Those two linebackers will be Matthew Thomas and Ro’Derrick Hoskins.

However, Josh Brown was an early enrollee who showed some flashes in spring camp, and has continued to do well in the fall. He’s physically ready at 6’3 220 pounds, and may see some time late in games as a buck linebacker similar to the role Jacob Pugh has played.

If not, he will probably see time on special teams being the great athlete that he is.
