FSU basketball gets on the recruiting board for the class of 2017 with composite three-star guard Bryan Trimble Jr. committing to the ‘Noles.

Leonard Hamilton received the first piece of his 2017 recruiting class in Trimble Jr. who hails from Kansas City, Missouri.

He is rated as a composite three-star guard with offers from other power five programs like Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Georgia and Nebraska.

Trimble is also rated as the No. 254 player overall and the No. 59 shooting guard while being ranked as the No. 4 player in the state of Missouri.

This commitment puts the ‘Noles in the No. 38 in the nation slot and No. 7 in the ACC. Of course Leonard Hamilton was able to secure a top 10 recruiting class in 2016, so it’ll be interesting to see how he follows that up this year.

What Are The ‘Noles Getting In Trimble Jr.?

Obviously, it’s a highlight video, but the first thing I notice is his ability to finish at the rim and/or play above the rim. He gets up there for a kid that’s only 6’3″.

Also, it looks like he has a solid shot when he has time to get set for his jump shot which looks sort of like Kevin Durant(in form and the way he kicks his leg out). The only thing is he may not have that kind of time playing in the ACC.

The other thing I notice is he lacks the ability to beat guys off the dribble. It’s a highlight video and it’s all of him dunking or shooting three-pointers while not one beating a guy off the dribble.

Then again, he is classified as a two guard, but that’s something he’s going to have to improve upon when he gets to Tallahassee.

Welcome to FSU basketball Bryan Trimble Jr.!
