We will not spend a great deal of time on Charleston Southern. Could FSU football lose to the Buccaneers? Sure, if Jameis Winston was the quarterback, see what we did there?
He’s not.
The Buccaneers are an excellent FCS team that competed in their version of the playoffs last season. This game will be great for developing depth among the younger players, and continuing to work out the kinks in the passing game. That latter will especially be the case if Sean Maguire isn’t the starter at quarterback.
FSU won 62-10 when the two teams last met in Tallahassee in Sept. 2011.
This game is really important because FSU will open up conference play on the road at Louisville the following week.
