Belk Bowl – December 30th – 6:30 PM – ESPN

#13 Georgia Bulldogs (9-3) vs. Louisville Cardinals (9-3)

Breakdown – In convincing wins over Clemson, Missouri and Auburn, Georgia looked like a playoff contending team. However, it’s the two losses to Florida and South Carolina that show exactly why this team failed to live up to the pre-season hype AGAIN. In it’s first year in the ACC, Louisville was able to navigate through some injuries and win nine games. I think this bowl game is the best game that isn’t being played on December 31st and January 1st.

Players to watch – Nick Chubb may be the best freshman running back in the country, as he accounted for 1,281 yards and 12 TDs as he became the No. 1 guy during Todd Gurley’s abscense. He will be the player to watch for the Georgia Bulldogs. The player to watch for the Cardinals is DeVante Parker. The Junior wide receiver was hurt for much of the year, but managed to rack up 735 yards in the five games he’s played.

Prediction – Louisville defensive coordinator Todd Grantham went up against that Georgia offense every day in practice for the last 5 years. That, along with UGA offensive coordinator Mike Bobo departing for the head coaching gig at Colorado State is the reason I think Louisville wins. Louisville 28, Georgia 17
