New Era Pinstripe Bowl – December 27th – 4:30 PM – ESPN

Boston College (7-5) vs. Penn State (6-6)

Breakdown – Boston College enters the New Era Pinstripe Bowl looking for a key win to build on for next season. The Eagles experienced it’s fair share of highs and lows this season, beating #9 USC at home 37-31 and then suffering a loss to Colorado State two weeks later. Penn State road a top-10 defense to bowl eligibility and is also looking for a feel-good win going intonext season.

Players to watch – The player to watch coming into this one for Boston College is transfer-QB Tyler Murphy. Murphy has been absolutely phenomenal this season, throwing for 1,526 yards and running for 1,079 and accounting for 21 TDs. Senior linebacker Mike Hull is the guy to watch for Penn State, as the Big Ten linebacker of the year accounted for 134 tackles and 10.5 tackles for loss.

Prediction – Boston College has the better resume leading up in this one, and I think that will help give them the edge in this one. Penn State’s defense is good, but Boston College has faced better in Louisville and Clemson. Boston College 24, Penn State 17
