In our weekly Editor’s Roundtable, Dan Kelley, the editor of FanSided’s Rubbing the Rock asks ChopChat’s editors about this weekend’s clash in Tallahassee.

Florida State is set to host Clemson this weekend in Tallahassee and this week’s Editor’s Roundtable has us talking upset. Last year it was the Seminoles who went to Death Valley and effectively turned the lights out on Clemson’s national title hopes and Tajh Boyd’s Heisman chances. This year, it’s the Tigers looking to return the favor.

And to make it all the more difficult for FSU, this week has been filled with non-stop distractions after Jameis Winston was suspended for the first half after making screaming obscenities on campus this week. The move — which came down from AD Stan Wilcox and interim President Garnett Spokes — has the potential to create a schism between Jimbo Fisher and his athletic department (as it is already rumored to have done), and it puts Winston’s replacement, Sean Maguire, directly in the crosshairs.

Maguire’s parents were so sure that their son wouldn’t play this weekend that they gave away their tickets and made other plans.

Instead, the redshirt sophomore will step into the limelight for the first time as he makes his first career start in a game where the stakes — at least for Florida State — couldn’t be higher.

Clemson, on the other hand, has very little to lose this weekend and should come into the game loose.

We’ll talk about it all in this week’s editor’s roundtable.
