Boston College – November 22nd
2013 Record: 7-6
Returning Starters: 4 on offense, 6 on defense
Gone is a four-year starter at QB, the nation’s leading rusher and the school’s all-time leading receiver. Former Florida Gator back-up QB Tyler Murphy has transfered in after starting six games for the Gators last fall. The hope for Murphy is that he allows Boston College to be more creative offensively. The offensive line returns a solid interior base, but players must emerge at the skill positions.
On defense, Boston College lost their leading tackler, but junior Steven Daniels is expected to continue the tradition of standout linebackers. Other than Daniels, the defense has a lot of question marks along the front seven, where a lot of production was lost. Manuel Asprilla leads a veteran secondary.
This game is another trap game, as it’s sandwiched in between two big rivalry games. Boston College also has a history of giving the ‘Noles a tough, physical game.
