If Florida State Players Were Video Game Characters

There are few things in life I like writing about as much as the Florida State Seminoles. The football program has been one of the biggest and best in the entire nation from a historical perspective. Some of the players have gotten so big that they have crossed over into the mainstream or can be heard and seen on sports television networks.

The only things that rivals my enjoyment for writing about FSU related stuff is pro wrestling and video games. Like Florida State football, those two things often crossover to the mainstream. The appeal is certainly different, but the people who care about those things do so in a way that equals a fan’s love for Florida State.

So — now that I have shown my true colors as a nerd — I am going to attempt to interject some video game nerdom into the Florida State football program.

Niche? You bet your behind. It doesn’t matter, however, as I will explain a little about each video game character that coincides with whatever Florida State player we compare him to.

Whether you are a fan of just the football program or just video games, it does not matter. This will be a good exercise in things that should normally, probably be better left separated. It will also give us a chance to talk more about Jameis Winston, Florida State football and somehow weasel some Final Fantasy VII references in one article.

I guess what I am trying to say is, maybe this article is more for me than you. Regardless, you are very welcome.

What we will try to do is breakdown each player by position. Quarterbacks, receivers, linemen, etc., will now all have a special place in the hearts and minds of folks who love video games. However, much like video game characters, not every person is worth mentioning or even remembering.

For this article we are going to focus solely on the offensive side of the ball. So please forgive us as we didn’t include every single human being on the Florida State roster.
