Dalvin Cook is getting ready for his third season in the NFL with the Minnesota Vikings the best way the FSU football alum knows – outworking those around.

For the FSU football fanbase, attention has been focused squarely on the Seminoles each and every single Sunday and the dozens of former Noles who are now in the professional game on Sundays and Mondays – including one clad in purple and yellow in the state of Minnesota who is getting psyched up for year three.

After being selected in the second round of the 2017 draft, running back Dalvin Cook was having a solid start to his rookie season before an ACL injury ended that season just four games in. In year two, Cook shined by doubling his rushing yards and nearly getting to 1,000 total yards thanks to a monster game in Week 15 against the Miami Dolphins.

Now, the FSU alum is getting his body and mind set for a year three with the Vikings that could be the season where the team makes a deep playoff run – and Cook knows it’s going to be the work this summer that carries him on the field into the upcoming season.

While some players may be taking things slightly easier with training camp starting at the end of this month, Cook is putting in that work everywhere he can – including on the beach.

Recently, Cook’s workouts on the sand were posted on social media and show that he is not just in a zone getting ready for this upcoming season – but he may be in the best physical shape at least since he became a member of the National Football League.

Now, while I admit that I am not a fan of the Vikings, I will also admit that I am very happy my favorite team (the Baltimore Ravens) do not play against them this season because Cook looks right now like someone who can get 1,000 rushing yards easy at this point.

The former FSU star started a total of 10 games last season and averaged over 60 yards each time running the ball. While the Vikings would love to see him make more trips into the endzone – as he has just six total touchdowns in 15 total games – that should change big time if he can stay healthy for the entire 2019 season.

If that takes place and Cook is in the lineup for the regular season in Minnesota, it could be a long 16 games for the other teams they will face over the course of the schedule.
