FSU football has been wondering if their often injured star offensive lineman was going to stay with the program of try and find somewhere else to play.

Well, FSU football fans, it may seem that we are just repeating our words at times during the summer months but I promise you that this is not a case like that – but the news that came out Wednesday afternoon sounds that way with the news that offensive lineman Landon Dickerson has (again) entered the transfer portal.

It was just over three months ago that we pretty much wrote the same thing when Dickerson gave the Seminoles an early Valentine’s Day “gift” and announced he was entering that same exact portal – only to leave it five days later and seem like he decided to stick with the Noles.

Now, as we get ready to go under the three month mark from the first game of the 2019 season for FSU football when the Seminoles open up against Boise State, the news is there again as a man who has spent much of his time in Tallahassee injured is again “shopping around” in the new transfer system from the NCAA.

Well, as a proud graduate of the school and supporter of the team, I have a message for Dickerson: just go. The time has passed for you to stay in Tallahassee and we all need a fresh start.

Don’t get me wrong, I would love for Dickerson – if he can finally get healthy – to stick around for what would be his final two seasons with the Seminoles as the offensive line looks to finally get better after three seasons of God awful play that helped lead the Seminoles to the point they are right now.

The problem is that we are now at the second time in a three month period of the same story taking place – and Dickerson is entitled to do whatever he wants. If he doesn’t want to play for the FSU football team or the current coaching staff anymore (namely head coach Willie Taggart or new OL coach Randy Clements) he has every right to make this move – but just do it already.

The Seminoles are preparing themselves both mentally and physically for what could amount to the biggest opener in a very long time against the Broncos – and not having everyone on the same page is a problem, so if Dickerson is one of those people whose mind isn’t completely on the Noles  then it is time for him to move on.

We wish him nothing but the best in his future – whether that future is in Tallahassee or somewhere else – but just make a decision already and stick with it.
