Earlier today Florida State announced a 250-million dollar, eight year athletic fundraising initiative aimed at keeping FSU on the cutting edge of the college sporting world. Among the bigger points of emphasis, revamped facilities, a new athletic dorm, renovations to the Tucker center and the creation of club seating in the south endzone at Doak Campbell Stadium.

We’ll have an in-depth write-up on the actual fund-raising initiative (complete with quotes from AD Stan Wilcox, head football coach Jimbo Fisher and head basketball coach Leonard Hamilton) later on this afternoon.

But first, let’s take a look at some artists renderings of the beautiful new facilities that are nearing completion right now at Florida State. After today’s press conference member of FSU’s athletic department took the media on a tour of the new facilities. Though they are not quite complete yet, they will be ready for the start of the Fall sports season — and they have already been used to recruit FSU’s athletes of the future.
