FSU Football listed among best College Programs of the next Decade

The Florida State football program has improved in each of the last three years, improving from 9-4 in 2011 to 12-2 with a BCS bowl win in 2012 to an undefeated, national championship season in 2013. This season introduces the first college football playoff, through which the ‘Noles will attempt to navigate to defend their title.

And at least one media outlet believes they’ll be in several such situations over the decade to come. Bleacher Report’s recently released countdown of the Top 25 College Football Programs of the Next Ten Years has FSU in elite position, ranked second. The only program ranked above them? The Alabama Crimson Tide, led by Seminole head coach Jimbo Fisher’s mentor, Nick Saban.

What of Florida State’s rivals? The only other ACC representation is Louisville (No. 21) and Clemson (No. 18), along with quasi-conference-foe Notre Dame (No. 16). The Florida Gators are ranked 19th, while the Miami Hurricanes are not listed among the 25 ranked teams and eight honorable mentions.
