Per a tweet by ESPN insider Adam Caplan (embedded below), undrafted Florida State receiver Kenny Shaw will be signing with the Cleveland Browns. Shaw did not travel to Indianapolis for the NFL Combine but did participate in FSU’s Pro Day in Tallahassee. Although nobody questions Shaw’s toughness, at 5′ 11″ and 174 lbs. he could certainly stand to add some weight and muscle (he benched 225 just 8 times). His route running, however, is beyond reproach. The sure-handed Orlando native caught 54 passes last season for 933 yards and six touchdowns.
Shaw will look to bolster a depleted Browns receiving corps after the impending year-long suspension being handed down to star wideout Josh Gordon. Many expected the Browns to draft at least one WR, but they didn’t select any.
Former FSU WR Kenny Shaw has agreed to a deal with the #Browns.
