Seminole outside linebacker Christian Jones is heading north to the Windy City to join the Chicago Bears. Jones was, rather surprisingly, not drafted and recently signed with the perennial NFC North contender.
Jones’ biggest upside is his prototypical NFL size. His 6’3” 240-lb. frame helped him earn an NFL.com grade higher than drafted ‘Nole defenders like Lamaracus Joyner, Terrence Brooks, and Telvin Smith. A physical specimen, Jones will need to improve on his reaction time to keep up with the speed of the pro game. His draft stock took a bit of a hit when he failed his drug test at the NFL Combine.
