FSU center Bryan Stork is heading north. Stork, who won the Rimington Trophy last year as the nation’s top center, has been selected in the 2014 NFL Draft by the New England Patriots. Stork was taken with the 105th overall selection, just two picks after teammate Devonta Freeman. The 6-4, 315 lb. Stork demonstrated immense versatility while with Florida State, as he actually began his career as a tight end.
Stork is a fierce competitor who is also technically sound. He has some knee and shoulder issues, but brings a workmanlike attitude that should ingratiate him nicely into the Pats’ veteran locker room. He’ll need to add some lower-body strength to withstand the rigors of the NFL trenches, but he has continually shown a willingness to adapt to help his team.
