Timmy Jernigan: Baltimore Bound

Florida State defensive tackle Timmy Jernigan just became the third Seminole drafted in the 2014 NFL Draft, as he was selected with the 48th overall pick (second round) by the Baltimore Ravens.

Jernigan (6-2, 300) anchored a National Championship FSU defense that had the best opponents’ PPG in the country (12.1). He’s better with his hands than with his feet, and although he’s not the biggest defensive lineman in the draft, Jernigan may well be one of the strongest, as he leverages his weight quite well.

He was largely considered a mid-first-round pick before details of his diluted urine sample during drug testing at the NFL Combine emerged.
