Florida State safety Terrence Brooks has been selected by the Baltimore Ravens with the 15th pick of the 2014 NFL Draft’s third round. Known for his penchant for the big hit, Brooks is a tremendous athlete whose stock rose considerably when he ran a 4.42 40 at the NFL Combine and registered a 38” vertical leap. His 40 time was the best for a safety since 2008, and his vertical leap tied for the highest among safeties.
What remains to be seen is where the Ravens want Brooks to play. Some have speculated that, given his speed and rather slight build for a safety (5-11, 198), Brooks may move to cornerback in the NFL.
This is the second ‘Nole the Ravens drafted tonight: Brooks will join DT Timmy Jernigan in Baltimore.
