The FSU baseball team is once again in the top spot of the PerfectGame.org poll updated today. The ‘Noles also retain their #1 spot according to Baseball America after a perfect week in which they dropped Florida Gulf Coast on Tuesday and swept Notre Dame over the weekend. Florida State also improved from second to first in the USA Today/ESPN poll, replacing Louisiana-Lafeyette at the top. The Ragin’ Cajuns kept the No. 1 spot per Collegiate Baseball, but FSU improved from fourth to second. The ‘Noles are also the No. 2 team in the country according to the NCBWA poll, up a spot from last week.
The Seminoles have won seven straight games, and nine of their last ten. They’re 26-5 overall and sit atop the ACC Atlantic division with a 13-2 conference record. Next up for Florida State is a Tuesday night showdown with rival Florida. First pitch at Dick Howser stadium in Tallahassee is scheduled for 6 pm.
