Once again, it doesn’t sound like Cinmeon Bowers, the centerpiece of Florida State basketball’s 2014 recruiting class, will don the garnet and gold. A short while ago, Bowers published the tweet below. The courtship between the Seminoles and Bowers has been far from typical. FSU recruited the 6-6 power forward out of high school in Milwaukee, but he was unable to qualify and had to attend Chipola Junior College in Marianna, Florida. Bowers then picked the ‘Noles over Louisville and the school many thought this elite JUCO prospect would select, Memphis. He signed with Florida State in September.
In January, Bowers was arrested after eating marijuana in an attempt to conceal it from police officers in Marianna. He was charged with tampering with evidence. Coach Leonard Hamilton told ESPN that he was waiting until more was known before acting.
Florida State University has confirmed Bowers’ release but is yet to comment regarding the circumstances surrounding the move.
I Have Been Released From Florida State, We Came To A Mutual Agreement, So My Recruitment Is Back Open.. Thanks To Coach Ham & Staff #Love
