The FSU men’s basketball team earned a tough-fought and necessary win Tuesday night, downing the Boston College Eagles 74-70 in Chestnut Hill, Massachusetts. This was a crucial victory for the Seminoles, who are on the tenuous March Madness bubble.
BC made a living from behind the arc, sinking 11 of its 25 3-point attempts. The game was knotted at 33 at halftime, and tight the rest of the way. The Eagles led by as many as five in the second stanza, but the ‘Noles, who needed this game for NCAA Tourney consideration, garnered great performances from Aaron Thomas (26 points) and Okaro White (24 points) to pull out the victory in the final minute.
Next up for FSU is a regular-season home finale against #7 Syracuse, which has lost four of its last five contests. The game is scheduled for Sunday at 2 pm.
