On Friday, the 2013 ACC Champion and undefeated Florida State Seminoles had their crack at the podium in front of the media after the defense had theirs yesterday as preparations for the BCS National Championship Game against Auburn draw to a close.
QB Jameis Winston, C Bryan Stork, RB Devonta Freeman and tight end Nick O’Leary were among the members of this explosive offensive unit that spoke to the reporters on Friday morning in Pasadena.
Most notable from the festivities today was the humor once again of Jameis. During the course of the presser, the subject of Winston wanting to go to Texas right out of high school was addressed, to which Jameis reiterated that, yes, indeed he did wish to go to Austin, but Mack Brown and the UT brass had no interest in his services.
Then, things got really awkward.
Jameis was asked about the constantly flying rumors of Jimbo possibly bolting from Tallahassee to take the head coaching gig at UT, to which he responded by saying this:
Winston said he’s not worried about Jimbo/Texas rumors but if he did go, “I’d ask to go with him. That’s my coach!”

For those around the country that aren’t as used to Winston’s humor like most of us are, they took this completely out of context and ran with it, but hey, to each their own I suppose.
With that being said, here’s that and then some from Friday’s meeting with the offensive group:
