With the BCS National Championship Game against the Auburn Tigers just a mere four days away, it’s time to hear from the players and coaches at the podium as the anticipation of the Florida State Seminoles possibly capturing that first national title since 1999 draws nearer.
On Thursday, it was first-year coordinator Jeremy Pruitt and the stout Seminoles defensive unit that spoke with the media. Pruitt was joined by DT Timmy Jernigan, LB Christian Jones and safety Terrence Brooks to talk about a number of topics including the high-paced Auburn offense, Pruitt’s transition from Alabama to Florida State, as well as the entire landscape of this magical season.
Although the ‘Noles have the Heisman winner at quarterback in Jameis Winston, there has been a lot of focus thrust onto this defensive unit as they prepare to stop Nick Marshall, Tre Mason and the Tigers dominating offensive unit.
We’ll know in four days whether or not they can put on one more great showing against probably the best offense they’ll have seen all season.
