The BCS standings following Week 11 have been released and, as expected, the Florida State Seminoles are sitting firmly in the number two spot, right behind the Alabama Crimson Tide. Following Oregon’s loss to Stanford this past Thursday, this turn of events was a foregone conclusion.

As you can see, the Ohio State Buckeyes are right behind the ‘Noles, but Jimbo Fisher’s team should be okay with their spot as long as they take care of business the rest of the way. Florida State came in with a computer average of .9619, while the Buckeyes grabbed a .8926. That’s a pretty significant lead, meaning all is well in Tallahassee.
Florida State again proved their dominance yesterday in the win over Wake Forest in Winston-Salem. The starters once again barely played the second half, which is now something of importance with a possible trip to Pasadena in the cards.
Now, the attention turns to staying on track this week when the ‘Noles welcome Syracuse into Doak Campbell for an ACC match up, before taking on Idaho. After Idaho, the Seminoles will visit Florida in Gainesville, before traveling to Charlotte for the ACC Championship Game at Bank of America Stadium. So long as the Seminoles take care of business over these final four games, they will remain in the top 2 of the BCS Standings.
